Summary: Maybe some of you have tried Pavtube and other are wondering how to use it. Today we will introduce how to rip commercial 2D/3D Blu-ray to most main stream format with this Pavtube BDMagic Windows

Other Download:

- Pavtube old official address: http://www.pavtube.cn/blu-ray-ripper/

Sure you can download a free trial, follow this guide to give a shot. The trial version nearly works the same as retail version except the watermark.

To rip a Blu-ray disc to your wanted format, you will need to get a Blu-ray drive firstly to make your computer recognize this disc.

Part 1. Launch Pavtube BDMagic and load disc.
Hit the import icon, you will find your disc named is listed as below; click to import.
For people who want to rip Blu-ray folder, Blu-ray ISO, DVD IFO/ISO, DVD folder, here are options for you too.

Part 2. Choose wanted title.
See the screenshot below, there’re several titles once your Blu-ray movie is loaded. Usually the title with longest time length is the real movie, or we say “Main Title”; other small clips are movie extras, you can check the box if you want to rip them together with the main movie.
(Tips: unless you check the icon “Merge into one file” which is besides “Settings”, you will still get separately video files; one for main movie, others are extras)

But sometimes there are exceptions; some disc may have several titles with the same time length, only one is real main title and others are fake titles. Fake titles have the same title name with real one, but in fake titles, chapters are out of order. This is a disc protection called “playlist obfuscation”.

How to find the correct one?
My suggestion is let the software to make the choice. Seriously Pavtube BDMagic will detect the chapter order and decide which one is correct during the importing progress, and then it will check the real main title automatically.

Part 3. Format list.

Click “Format” drop-down list, you will find may presets for different devices, players, editing programs, etc. It offers a search box in the bottom right corner to let you find wanted format quickly.

Part 4. Edit movie (optional)
What if we don’t need the entire movie but to extract a small clip?
Here is the edit function works for. Hit the pencil-like icon on top to enter “Video Editor” window, you are not only able to trim and crop movie, but also add watermark/text, remove/add audio tracks, add *.ass, *.ssa, *.srt subtitles, or adjust other settings.

Part 5. Start conversion.
Don’t forget to click OK and confirm your adjustment in steps above, then back to main UI, hit the big red “Convert”. After it completed, hit “Open output folder” icon in progress window to quick locate converted video file. Or you can back main UI and find the “Open” icon as well.

About conversion speed:

Conversion speed changes with your source file size, target video format&codec&bitrate settings, computer configuration and other programs that running simultaneously. Meanwhile, Pavtube has made a lot of efforts to improve disc conversion speed. In all of Pavtube ripping tools (Windows), we added an acceleration feature in “Option” icon on the top.

The check box will lighten up if your configuration meets the requirements.
